Frequently Asked Questions

This is actually one of the best reasons to come! The Weekend Away is the perfect opportunity to make new friends and connections in church. Many people who came not knowing many others left feeling much more connected and part of the church family.

"I don't know anyone."

1

That's completely understandable. Whilst we encourage everyone to participate in the main sessions, one of the great things about High Leigh is the amount of space available. There are quiet lounges, comfortable seating areas, and beautiful grounds where you can take some time out and recharge when needed.

"I'm quite an introvert. I don't think I could cope with so many people for a whole weekend."

2

When looking at the price, it's important to remember that everything is included.
Your booking covers:

  • Two nights' accommodation

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the weekend

  • Freely available drinks during the day

  • Use of all venue facilities

  • Five large meeting spaces and additional breakout rooms

  • Access to the extensive grounds and outdoor spaces

When compared to a typical family weekend at somewhere like Centre Parcs, the cost is very similar, but our weekend includes meals, refreshments and activities throughout your stay without any extra cost.

"Why does it cost so much?"

3

"The cost is a bit too much for me right now."

4

We understand that finances can sometimes make it difficult to commit to a weekend away.
Please don't let the cost be the reason you miss out. If paying for the weekend is a concern, email the
church office and we can have a confidential conversation about how we may be able to support you.
We want as many people as possible to be part of the weekend, and we'd much rather talk with you about the cost than have you stay at home because you're worried about the price.
If finances are the main barrier, please get in touch. We'd love to help if we can.

"I can't get there because I don't drive."

5

No problem!

When you book, simply let us know that you need a lift. We can connect you with someone who has space in their car and help arrange transport.

"My children will get bored if they have to stay with me in the meetings."

6

They definitely won't!

We will be providing Children's and Youth groups throughout the weekend including a creche, giving children and young people an engaging programme designed specifically for them.

Outside of the organised groups, we'll also have free time on Saturday afternoon with activities that the whole family can enjoy together.
